    Job Title: Lending Operations Specialist (General Ledger)

    Location: Madison, Wisconsin (Onsite from Day 1)

    Job Description

    Responsibility

    • The Lending Operations Specialist is expected to compliantly, and efficiently handle lending back-office activities associated with vehicle loan, home equity loan, commercial and securitized loans.
    • The associate is expected to support Genpact clients by handling processing activities including general ledger, loan maintenance, payment disbursements, tax and escrow processes and other highly regulated loan servicing transactions.
    • This associate is expected to diligently follow and comply with all lending requirements and adhere to prescribed regulatory time frames.
    • Responsibilities include General Ledger Reconciliation Consumer and account maintenance Statements and mail Account/credit dispute research and resolution Process credit reporting agency rejects/errors Process loan charge offs Process loan payoffs Insurance escrow processing Provide payoff quotes Handle customer complaints Other responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications

    Minimum qualifications

    • Bachelor's or associate degree in accounting, or in a related specialization.
    • At least 2 years' experience in general ledger accounting, or similar.
    • Minimum of 12 months experience in banking / financial services.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong problem solving skills.
    • Flexibility of shifts and to work overtime hours as per business requirements.
    • Commitment to performance excellence or doing a great job.
    • Goal Oriented Analytical & problem solving skills.
    • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and data security standards.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

    Preferred qualifications

    • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate preferred.
    • Banking operations experience with consumer lending
