    Are you looking for a way to share your skills while making a significant impact on the health of your community?

    As a Volunteer Medical Scribe, you'll be at the heart of healthcare, working closely with our dedicated medical providers as they provide free medical care to the working uninsured in our community. Your role will involve documenting patient encounters in our electronic health record (EHR) system, maintaining accurate medical records, and providing essential support to our medical professionals. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference while acquiring exposure to the dynamic world of healthcare.

    Responsibilities and Duties


    • Accurately record patient histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and laboratory results in the EHR system.


    • Accompany healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring the collection of comprehensive and organized medical data.


    • Work efficiently and keep pace with the healthcare team to ensure timely documentation and patient care.


    • Offer technical support to healthcare providers in navigating the EHR system, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing documentation processes.

    Qualifications


    • Preference for either prior experience as a medical scribe using an EHR system or advanced computer skills with the ability to expertly document patient appointments.


    • Knowledge of medical terminology.


    • Strong organizational, multitasking and time management skills.


    • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
