Pay: Up to $75/hr (flat rate / book time)
Job Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Location: Las Vegas NV
Work Volume: Consistent workload available (up to 30+ billed hours/week based on availability)
Position Summary
The Auto Healer is hiring a master-level mobile mechanic for the Las Vegas area. This role is for an experienced technician capable of performing complete vehicle diagnostics and repairs independently while working directly with customers in the field.
Technicians operate solo on each job. All scheduling, estimates, approvals, invoicing, payments, and marketing are handled by our team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics without assistance, including:
- Check engine light and drivability diagnostics
- Electrical diagnostics (power, ground, signal testing)
- No-start and intermittent fault diagnosis
- Charging and starting system diagnostics
- CAN communication and module-related fault diagnosis
- Use your own professional scan tool with bi-directional control to:
- Command components and actuators
- Perform relearns, resets, and functional tests
- Access live data, freeze-frame, and module fault codes
- Complete mobile repairs including, but not limited to:
- Starters, alternators, batteries, and charging system repairs
- Cooling system repairs (radiators, thermostats, hoses, water pumps)
- Brake repairs and hydraulic system service
- Suspension and steering components
- Sensors, actuators, and common drivability-related components
- Accurately document diagnostic findings and completed repairs
- Communicate repair needs and results clearly and professionally to customers on-site
Pay & Earning Potential
- Up to $75/hr flat rate
- No shop politics
- High-volume work available for experienced technicians
- Technicians billing ~40 hours/week can earn $150,000+ annually
Requirements
- Master-level technician
- ASE Master Certified or equivalent experience
- Own vehicle required
- All professional tools required
- Bi-directional scan tool required
- Strong diagnostic skills across electrical, drivability, and no-start conditions
- Comfortable working independently and communicating with customers
