- Oversees close activities for the company to accurately report results within the closing cycle
- Prepare, reconcile, and report on relevant cost accounting close activities
- Advises on journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Oversees and maintains cost accounting system, documentation, records, and reporting
- Support internal stakeholders to make effective business decisions
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs
- Review and document costs for all external inventory, labor, and material purchases
- Oversees and complete internal cost audits
- Review and document inventory and material purchases
- Accurately record and update existing and new purchased materials and goods
- Compile documentation on standard costs and company production costs
- Ensure compliance to applicable accounting guidelines, polices, and internal control procedures
- Coordinate and execute physical inventories according to annual plans
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
