Contract Prosecutor

The Eleventh Judicial District Attorney's Office, Div. II, in Gallup, New Mexico, McKinley County is seeking applicants for a Contract Prosecutor to assist in the prosecution of criminal misdemeanor cases, felony cases and conflict of interest cases.

The Contract Prosecutor position requires substantial knowledge and experience in criminal prosecution, rules of evidence and rules of criminal procedure; trial skills; the ability to draft legal documents and to research/analyze information and situations and the ability to work effectively with other criminal justice agencies and Law Enforcement.

This position is open to all attorneys who have knowledge in criminal law and who are in good standing with the New Mexico Bar. Limited License is okay.

Salary will result in a contractual agreement between the contract prosecutor and the District Attorney.
