    In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations and managing a team of material handlers to ensure the efficient flow of materials in and out of the facility.

    Strong leadership skills and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Provide guidance to warehouse staff, including Material Handler I and II team members.
    Plan and prioritize daily workflow to meet production and shipping schedules.
    Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
    Monitor inventory levels, set minimums and maximums, and coordinate with purchasing to replenish stock as needed
    Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards.
    Collaborate with other departments to address inventory discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
    Implement process improvements to optimize warehouse efficiency and reduce costs.
    Prepare and maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, shipments, and equipment maintenance.
    Lead by example by demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic.

    Under general supervision, routine duties are carried out with minimal supervision; standard practices and established procedures empower the employee to work independently on routine tasks; requiring occasional checks while the work is in progress.

    Comprehensive reviews are conducted upon completion to ensure adherence to standards and quality expectations.

    EDUCATION and/or


    EXPERIENCE:

    High school diploma or equivalent, university degree in progress, additional education or certification in logistics or warehouse management is preferred, and 2-3 years of proven warehouse management experience and/or related field, proficiency in operating warehouse equipment and familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures, Strong leadership, ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with the ability to motivate and develop team members, Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Proficient computer skills for data entry and system transactions including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

    ABILITIES:
    Ability to read and understand documentation associated with specific discipline, ensuring accurate interpretation. Demonstrated ability to complete company/department training courses in material handling, showcasing a commitment to continuous learning and skill development.

    Advanced understanding of inventory management systems and procedures, strong leadership and mentoring skills, Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

    Immediate supervision:

    receive close supervision related to specific work activities, assignments and methods, usually receive frequent surveillance over job activities; instructions are detailed and assignments are typical short-term.

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs


    MANUAL DEXTERITY:
    Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers.
