    Job Title:

    Wildlife Care Assistant


    About the Role:

    This position plays a vital role in the care and rehabilitation of sick, orphaned, and injured wildlife at the DuPage Wildlife Conservation Center.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide daily care for rehabilitating wildlife, including feeding, watering, cleaning, and monitoring health.
    • Assist with enclosure maintenance and provide enrichment.
    • Clean and disinfect equipment and keep accurate records.
    • Transport wildlife for safe release in a new setting.

    Requirements:

    • 18 years of age or older.
    • Valid Driver's License in good standing.
    • 1 year of previous experience in animal care or handling preferred.
    • Illinois Mandated Reporter certification required.

    Work Details:

    40 hours/week over four 10-hour days from 7 AM - 5:30 PM, including one weekend day.


    Compensation:

    $15.50-$16 an hour.
