- Greets members and guests at the front desk, making sure that only cleared staff or guests enter the program area.
- Keeps areas visible to members organized and clean.
- Maintains and establishes positive relationships with members, guests, and staff.
- Handles cash and other forms of payment in an ethical and precise manner. Knows basic math skills.
- Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
- Serves as a positive role model to the community. Presents the YMCA mission and vision to the community.
- Previous experience working with money handling preferred.
- Previous experience with diverse populations. Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility, resourcefulness and high energy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Good multi-tasker.
- At least 15 years old.
