    Qualifications & Requirements

    Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Vermont or Compact RN license accepted

    Minimum 5 years Med/Surg Telemetry experience OR 3 years dedicated Telemetry experience

    Prior travel nursing experience required (at least 2 travel assignments in 300+ bed facilities OR prior UVMHN acute care experience)

    Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 2 years

    Required certifications:
    AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS must be completed prior to start)

    Telemetry certification preferred; Peripheral IV insertion skills preferred

    Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended (limited public transit; vehicle with all-season or snow tires advised Nov–Apr)

    Responsibilities

    Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult Med-Surg and telemetry patients with diverse diagnoses (post-op ortho, urology, GI, COPD, CHF, diabetes, dementia, palliative/end-of-life)

    Apply, interpret, and respond to telemetry monitoring as a Telemetry RN

    Perform NG tube placement and peripheral IV insertions when appropriate

    Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members including RNs, LPNs, LNAs, and ancillary staff

    Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR

    Float to similar units as needed and participate in weekend/holiday rotations

    Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to facility dress code (scrubs provided or bring your own)

    Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment in a tight-knit community
