    RN II/III - Pediatrics Duncan Clinic (TMC)

    At UTHealth Houston, we strive to change the world through healthcare education, innovation, scientific discovery, and excellence in patient care. As a dedicated Pediatric Nurse, you will be an integral part of our dynamic Neurodevelopmental Clinic team.

    This role involves coordinating referrals for neurodevelopmental appointments, ensuring seamless communication and scheduling between providers and patients. Additionally, you will be actively involved in supporting research initiatives, including studies such as our Spina Bifida study, and share test results with the clinical team to coordinate therapy referrals.

    You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team of Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers, and PhDs to coordinate day-to-day operations, ensuring the highest level of care for our pediatric patients. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care/caregiver support are essential for success in this role.

    The ideal candidate will possess current state of Texas Registered Nurse licensure, Basic Life Support certification, and either a Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent experience. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is preferred.

    The successful candidate will perform responsibilities in a manner that promotes quality patient care and customer service/satisfaction, adhering to broad scope of practice established by the Nurse Practice Act. They will prioritize, synthesize, and document assessments and nursing plan of care using critical thinking and judgment, implementing plans within scope of practice through assignment and monitoring of other nurses and delegation and monitoring of unlicensed staff.
