Summary:
As a Mid-level Software EngineerSoftware Engineer II, to support an upcoming effort at NAVWAR HQ in downtown San Diego. Software Engineers research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. The ideal candidate will have existing experience with US Navy or other DoD environments and applications.

Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into high-quality software solutions.
Apply programming concepts in a professional or academic setting to develop robust and reliable software applications.
Utilize modern software development methodologies such as Agile and DevOps/DevSecOps to ensure efficient and collaborative development processes.
Apply your expertise in software engineering to design, develop, and test software components.
Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure software quality and reliability.
Work closely with IT teams to integrate software solutions into the broader project environment.


Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in engineering, mathematics, or a quantitative field. (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems or mathematics is preferred).
DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Three (3) years of recent, relevant experience in software engineering.
Significant experience in U.S. Navy/DoD programs or operations is highly preferred.
Experience with applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting.
Experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g., agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.
Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification.
Preferred

Qualifications:
Experience with Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification is a plus.

NOTE:
Applicant selected for this position must have a current security clearance.
U.S. Citizenship required.
