- Implement the Radiological Protection Plan;
- Perform air sampling, radiation surveys, and contamination control;
- Conduct radiological surveys and inspections;
- Generate radiological data and reports;
- Provide radiological job coverage;
- Calibrate and repair instruments;
- Coordinate dosimetry services;
- Conduct field inspections after storm events;
- Monitor environmental conditions;
- Perform other environmental duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Complete HAZWOPER training within 180 days of hire.
- Ability to follow procedures and protocols;
- Use different levels of PPE;
- Effective communication skills;
- Work independently on occasion;
- Participate in physically demanding work;
- Medically qualified to wear a respirator;
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs and climb ladders;
- Pass background check and drug testing;
- Valid driver license;
- Pass U.S. Government background check;
- Current 40 Hour HAZWOPER qualification.

POSITION PURPOSE:
The Rad Con Task Qualified Technician implements field procedures and aims to become a Radiological Control Technician (RCT) for remote federal project sites.
