    Description

    My client in the Aerospace Manufacturing Industry space is looking for a Senior Quality Configuration Control Engineer to join their growing team

    Location would be either Anaheim, CA or Greenville, TX.

    This person will be responsible for control of specifications. Must have ITAR experience. They have a gap there is no global configuration set up now. Our client is setting up a new quality control department to set up quality control measures. Right now each individual sites are responsible for quality control and they want a centralized team to handle quality control. Must come from an aerospace background. Have experience with change management in an aerospace environment, building specifications in an aerospace environment, configuration management in an aerospace environment, and configuration controls in an aerospace environment. Documentation change experience is required. Will be responsible for project management of small quality control projects for different sites, but project management experience is not required- there will be onsite training for that.

    • Hybrid work schedule, 30% travel
    • Salary- $90,000- $150,000

    What you will do:

    • Collaborate with Site Engineering, Customer Engineering and Account Management in the management of the specification, change management and PCD/IQD management.
    • Interact with customers for specification and PCD/IQD reviews.
    • Provide project management leadership to drive these improvement efforts and communicate as required both internally and to Customers.
    • Provide leadership and oversight of specification and configuration management to ensure timely review and implementation of specification revisions.
    • Collaborate with Customer and GBU personnel to assess and manage changes that could negatively impact quality risk levels; demonstrate a Quality as a Value mindset & behavior.
    • Actively lead and participate in quality risk assessments and audits. Ensure timely, effective address of findings.
    • Publish program quality scorecard metrics as applicable. Positions in US Regions may handle ITAR and NIST controlled documentation along with Customer proprietary information.

    What you will bring:

    • BS in Engineering.
    • Prior experience managing customer relationships.
    • Working knowledge of Composite/Adhesives
    • Preferred - Working knowledge of AS-9100 Rev D and/or ISO-9001:2015 Quality Management systems or similarly highly regulated industry.
    • Preferred - Familiarity of NADCAP certification process (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) or IATF-16949 Automotive Quality Management System Standard (International Automotive Task Force).
    • Possess strong, pro-active leadership and project management skills to achieve results.
    • Good personnel engagement skills.
    • Working knowledge of DMAIC problem solving including 8D and FMEA methods.
    • Demonstrated experience in data analysis statistical and inductive/deductive reasoning.
    • Knowledge of Six Sigma tools both lean and technical including value stream mapping, 5S, process control and Measurement System Analysis or Gauge R&R.
