Job Description Summary "The Surgical Technologist administers intra-operative care to patients within the surgical/operating room environment. Care is provided in collaboration with anesthesia, surgeons and other staff members. Integrates physiologic, medical, surgical, and anesthetic information to give appropriate patient care.

• Uses the principles of asepsis to assist the surgeon in the maintenance of the sterile field, providing for optimal patient care in the OR
• Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA)

Under general supervision, the Certified Surgical Technologist II functions as member of the operating room team to prepare sterile supplies and equipment used in the surgical procedures and perform appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care with adherence to established procedural guidelines


Education:
