    River Family Health Center is seeking a LPN to work in our outpatient clinic with our primary and specialty care teams.
    As a River Family Health Center LPN, you will be a vital part of our healthcare team, providing quality care to our patients. You will be responsible for administering medications, administering treatments, performing tests, and providing patient education. You will be expected to work with physicians to ensure the best possible care for our patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a passion for patient care, and the ability to work as part of a team.     Job Purpose
    The Licensed Practical Nurse implements nursing care activities under the direction of the Nurse Manager. Performs initial health screening on the patients who come to the clinic for healthcare. Demonstrates effective interpersonal communication skills with patients, family members, significant others and other members of the health care team. He/She performs task and duties within the scope for their license and is supervised by the clinic Nurse Managers.

    Qualifications
    • Graduate of accredited school of practical nursing
    • Currently licensed in the State of New York
    • Knowledge of record keeping and report writing techniques.
    • Strongly prefer 2 years experience in an outpatient clinic but new grads are welcome to apply.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft programs and EMR systems
    • Current Basic Life Support
    It is the employee's responsibility to know the requirements for certification, limited permit and licensure for their individual profession. It is also the responsibility of the employee to notify the employer of the status of any certification or licensure issue or potential issue. The employee will comply with all of the requirements outlined by the New York State Office of professions for the particular profession.
