We have immediate per diem (PRN) shifts available for the PICU Registered Nurse in Newark NJ.Responsibilities
- Required Certifications: BLS PALS
- Required Skills: PICU Telemetry - on the unit monitoring Insulin administration Management of gastric tubes NG tube insertion/ management Isolation Precautions Accessing/Managing Ports Administration of blood & blood products Central line blood draw Central Line/Implanted Line Care Phlebotomy PICC line management Starting and maintaining IVs TPN/Lipids Antiarrhythmics Anti-Seizure Medications Continuous Sedation IV vasopressors Pediatric Dosage Calculations Use of Broselow system Assist with lumbar puncture Hydrocephalus/VP shunt Assist/maintain chest tube Assist/manage intubation BiPAP/CPAP Care of Ventilated Patient Care/maintenance of acute airway End-Tidal CO2 monitoring High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) Suctioning (ETT NT) Tracheostomy care Acute/chronic renal failure Peritoneal dialysis Pre/Post Hemodialysis Urinary catheter insertion/management Infection control/PPE
