    job summary:


    A Reliability, Maintainability and Safety Engineer in the Fort Worth, TX or Remote area is needed for a multinational power management company.

    This position involves leading system reliability, maintainability, and safety programs in the Aerospace Group, including developing comprehensive plans, conducting analyses, guiding design quality measures, supporting risk management, and mentoring engineers.

    responsibilities:

    • Develop a comprehensive system reliability and safety program plan, aligning key dates, resources, and milestones with Program Management.
    • Quantify system reliability and safety requirements based on customer wants/needs and competitive benchmarking information, and allocate them to subsystem and component teams.
    • Understand reliability estimation methods and safety assessments, such as Reliability Block Diagrams, FMEA/FMECA, Fault Tree, etc.
    • Lead complex reliability and safety analyses either individually or through team efforts.
    • Understand aerospace safety standards and methods for aircraft certification.
    • Guide the development of design Critical to Quality (CTQ) measures based on customer wants/needs.
    • Support the risk management process, including DFMEA, robustness models, and a program risk management log.

    Skills:

    • Experience working with reliability/safety teams, product development teams, and internal and external customers.
    • Knowledge of various aircraft systems.
    • Statistical tools knowledge (DoE, Weibull, Minitab, Windchill).
    • Preferably DFSS Greenbelt certification.
    • Experience with DFMEA, Risk log, and 8D process.
    • Experience with reliability modeling, FMEA/FMECA, fault tree analyses, system safety, and analyzing field data.
    • Experience with warranty calculations and ALT/HALT/HASS methods.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in a technical role, with at least 4 years in new product development programs.
