    Location: Chicago, IL

    Job Description:

    • Perform HIV/STI testing, including collecting and managing specimens, providing results notification, and completing any mandated reporting.
    • Support linkage to care for HIV/STI treatment and/or PrEP by supporting clients in navigating medical and support services.
    • Assist with peer support groups.
    • Staff HIV/STI testing events offsite including aboard the Comer Hospital Pediatric Mobile Medical Unit and at community events.
    • Support community outreach activities, disseminating information about HIV/STI services and testing events through social media, community-based outreach, peer recruitment, network recruitment, and other channels.
    • Perform specific protocol procedures (specimens and data management, survey/questionnaire administration and the like) required to conduct the study and retain research subjects.
    • Participates in study-related documentation, such as protocol worksheets, procedural manuals, adverse event reports, institutional review board documents, or progress reports.
    • â‹â‹Performs other related work as needed.â‹Â

    Preferred Qualifications

    Education:

    • GED or High School Diploma.

    Experience:

    • 1-2 years of experience working in HIV or sexual health.
    • 1-3 years of experience working with LGBTQ+, minority, and marginalized populations.

    Licenses and Certifications:

    • Must complete phlebotomy training within 30 days of hire.

    Working Conditions

    • Ability to travel to various community venues across the metropolitan area.
    • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to work non-traditional hours (i.e. evenings and weekends).
    • Ability to obtain urine, blood, and oral specimens from clients.
    • Ability to travel to various local testing and event sites.
    • Ability to use computers.
    • Ability to use Standard Office Equipment.
    • Ability to use Standard Work Station Equipment.
