- The Certified Nursing Assistant Transportation Driver under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services to provide transportation services for facility Residents using the facility van.
- Work with nursing staff to schedule medical appointments.
- Transport residents to and from their medical appointments.
- In coordination with nursing staff ensure that proper medical documents are accurate for transport to medical visits/appointments.
- Maintain safety and comfort of residents during transportation.
- Keep a detailed log of all transports.
- Maintain the routine van mileage log.
- In coordination with facility maintain and schedule routine van maintenance.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Valid Louisiana Driver's License.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, residents, families, and physicians.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Sociable, courteous, and sympathetic.
- Public relations Skills.
- Has not been excluded from participating in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
- Maintains eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs throughout employment.
- Capable of providing emergency care as needed for any resident in the facility.
- Participate in pre-employment and annual Tuberculosis screening.
- Standing, sitting, bending, stooping.
- Ability to walk up and down stairs.
- Ability to assist with loading residents on and off van.
