    Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention.

    They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.

    Our Wahpeton team is looking for an Advanced Practice Clinician to join the Internal Medicine Department.

    This is a great opportunity for a new or seasoned clinician to build and grow their practice with a supportive team in a high-quality and patient-centered environment.

    The current team consists of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine & Pediatric MD? & APP?s, Chiropractor, Optometrist, and General Surgeon?s.

    This is a busy primary care practice with excellent medical specialty outreach and an on-site Ambulatory Surgery Center offering outpatient services.

    The team continues to grow and expand services.


    The position will include:
    1.0 FTE, full-time status (36 patient contact hours; 4 hours professional time per week)
    Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
    Care for all adult patients ages 18 and older; mix of Walk-In Clinic & Internal Medicine
    16-20 patients per day
    Established patient base
    May also provide outreach support at our other senior care communities or satellite clinics.


    The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals.

    The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.


    EDUCATION/TRAINING:
    Master?s or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
    Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state (if NP).
    Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state.
    Current certification in CPR
    National certification, in applicable area.
    Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
