    JOB TITLE: Director, Sales and Marketing

    DIVISION: Customer Operations

    DEPARTMENT: Sales

    JOB SUMMARY
    • The Director, Sales and Marketing provides leadership and coordination of company sales and marketing functions, develops and implements sales and marketing strategy and monitors and analyzes sales and marketing activity against goals.
    • The Director, Sales and Marketing leads and directs all call center sales, retention, quality, workforce management, training delivery, and operational functions supporting MaxxSouth Broadband's objectives for sales, identifying and implementing functional marketing strategies, growth, profitability, and visibility while enhancing brand equity and awareness.
    • The Director, Sales and Marketing is responsible for tracking and reporting subscriber statistics, conducting market research analysis and reporting, measuring, and reporting the effectiveness of campaigns and promotions, and other critical industry related issues
    • The Director, Sales and Marketing reports directly to the Vice President, Customer Experience.
    • Direct reports to the Director, Sales and Marketing include the Call Center Manager, Retail Manager, Sr. Manager Business Development, Manager Residential Sales and Marketing, Media, and Special Projects Manager.
    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    The Director, Sales and Marketing is accountable for the following items:
    • Managing and participating in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of all Sales and Marketing programs and activities;
    • Assuming management responsibility for all services and activities of the Sales Department within the facility including sales tools and materials, proposals, sales calls and contracts;
    • Developing and achieving sales objectives through setting quotas, sales pitch approval, and product presentations to sales staff;
    • Creates, evaluates, and forecasts marketing campaigns and promotions
    • Performs market analyses to maintain advanced knowledge of the industry, competitor, and company products and services to forecast and combat their impact on operations
    • Develops and assists in the implementation and monitoring process or creation of a program with KPIs and tools to manage each team member's performance and project completion while directing the achievement of call center key performance indicators including service level, quality, revenue, productivity/efficiency, reliability and attrition objectives;
    • Performing on-sight training, coaching, skill development, and direction to Managers, Supervisors and contract sales organizations, including the enforcement of organizational selling standards.
    • Analyzing sales and marketing trends and productivity with recommendations for improvement;
    • Communicating and updating the executive team through analysis and reporting of business opportunities, results, trends, and competitive information;
    • Demonstrating and enhancing the sales process by coaching sales representatives for superior customer satisfaction. Overseeing the process of providing effective resolution of all customer problems;
    • Participating in the development and administration of the annual budget; forecasting additional funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; directing the monitoring of and approval of expenditures; directing and implementing adjustments as necessary;
    • Creating and implementing business-building programs for direct sales through the marketing team. Partners with key programmers and the Marketing team in developing and implementing business-building programs including offers, incentives, and training;
    • Following and enforcing the Company's policies and procedures, including the EEO guidelines, at all times;
    • Performing any miscellaneous department duties as needed.
    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or another related field - required
    • 10 years of progressive practical related work experience - required
    • 7 years of business-to-business marketing experience including integrated sales and marketing campaign development- required
    • Strong track record of building relationships and generating sales - required
    • Strong PC and data processing skills; working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, as well as database management software - required
