Street Maintenance Worker
Department: Street Reports to: Street Supervisor
Summary: Under basic supervision, performs a variety of basic labor tasks to maintain streets, roadways and City infrastructure for the Public Works Department (PWD); operates vehicles, equipment and tools in compliance with all safety regulations and standard procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education, Training and Experience Guidelines: High school diploma or GED preferred. Some related work experience is desired. Knowledge of:
Skill in:
Physical demands and working environment: Work is performed indoors, outdoors and at City facilities; requires constant physical efforts, and the ability to bend, reach, stoop and lift objects; may be exposed to safety hazards and dangerous tools and equipment; safety precautions must be followed, including use of safety equipment. City approved safety shoes must be worn.
Other: All applicants must have a basic level of speaking and understanding English in order to meet the minimum qualifications for this position.
License and certification requirements: Must possess a Texas Driver's license. A Texas Class B CDL is preferred but if hired without one will be given the opportunity to obtain within one (1) year of employment. employment.
