    PRINCIPAL INTERIOR SAFETY ENGINEER

    Re:Car dba SLATE is a newly established company in the United States specializing in the development of products and services within the electric vehicle industry.



    We are seeking:


    Re:Car dba SLATE is on the lookout for a dynamic, well-organized, and seasoned Principal Interior Safety Engineer to become part of our expanding team. In this key position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with NHTSA/FMVSS regulations and other safety aspects within the Interior Cabin.



    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Contributing significantly to a vibrant team that is reshaping conventional vehicle design practices.
    • Establishing system and component requirements, overseeing their validation process to ensure compliance.
    • Leading Interior Engineers in the design and development of components and systems, ensuring adherence to regulations and safety standards.
    • Setting and accomplishing functional goals to meet project performance objectives.
    • Overseeing all aspects of interior component and system development to fulfill project requirements regarding performance, cost, timing, manufacturability, among others.
    • Facilitating collaboration between internal/external teams and suppliers to meet project demands effectively.

    Qualifications we are looking for:

    • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent institution.
    • Possess over 10 years of experience in restraints and interior systems.
    • Demonstrate a solid understanding of design considerations for interior systems and components, as well as safety component integration.
    • Have comprehensive knowledge of NHSTA/FMVSS requirements concerning interior systems and components.
    • Showcase strong communication and team-building skills.
    • Exhibit a willingness to thrive in a dynamic and enjoyable work environment.
