    Nippon Light Metal Georgia, Inc. (NLM) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our rapidly growing company located in Adairsville, Georgia.

    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing diversified duties that include troubleshooting, installing, repairing and maintaining manufacturing and facility equipment.

    Essential DutiesStudy blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation procedures.
    Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective componentsMaintain equipment logs that record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests.

    Inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation or for defects, such as loose connections or frayed wires.

    Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems.
    Maintain and repair machines and equipment throughout the facility to ensure timely repairs.
    Replace and realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications.
    Remove defective parts by dismantling devises; using hoists, cranes and hand and power tools.

    Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment and/or PLC software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems.

    Maintains equipment, parts and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipate needed equipment, parts and suppliers.
    Analyzing repetitive trouble for recurrence prevention.
    Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly.
    Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use or to analyze malfunctions.
    Coordinate efforts with other workers involved in installing or maintaining equipment or components.

    Physical Requirements / Work Environment RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, stand, use hands to manipulate, handle and feel objects, tools or controls.

    The employee is required to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee is frequently required to talk, stand, walk, and use hands. The employee must be able to speak and hear and must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.

    Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to auto focus.


    RequirementsMinimum QualificationsEducation and Work Experience:

    Listed below are the minimum and/or desired qualifications of the position including education, work experience and knowledge & skills that are required to perform satisfactorily in the position:High school diploma/GED with three (3) or more years of experience.

    Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is preferredKnowledge and SkillsGood understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.

    Experience with fabrication (welding is a plus).Must be very detail oriented.

    Must be able to read and understand diagrams, blueprints and technical equipment manualsMust be an effective learnerMust be able to work alone and in teamsMust be highly safety-orientedAbility to learn and identify tools and their proper uses.
