    Manager, Membership Recruitment position at ASCO

    Remote candidates welcome or primary location in Alexandria, VA.
    Responsibilities
    Work with Member Services team and MarCom to implement Recruitment Strategic plan to grow our global membership.


    Manage the development of marketing materials for various recruitment campaigns for membership exhibits, mailings, e-mails, and calling programs, website, digital, and printed promotional materials, and list selections for promotions.

    Lead the new membership application processing as well as follow up communication for incomplete applications.

    Assist with the analysis and audits of digital promotions to ensure value-based messaging and design are effective. In conjunction with MarCom, manage the development and implementation of recruitment initiatives that support overall growth of members.

    Serve as lead for the membership booth team at the Annual Meeting including managing recruitment planning, logistics and exhibiting.


    Oversee ASCO traveling exhibit booth operations, including staffing, budget, logistics and vendor collaboration for service orders and other booth needs.


    Lead the strategic recruitment of members at in person exhibits, research and propose member services exhibit meeting schedule annually, coordinate exhibits and train staff to recruit effectively.

    Utilize FASCO and other reporting to evaluate members involvement and develop recruitment strategies for prospective new members.


    Coordinate with vendor(s) and deploy member communication in support member program strategies, including but not limited to, onboarding and recruitment messaging.

    Manage the mailing list rental program and coordinate with Meeting Services and vendor on program operations.

    Perform data integrity tasks including updating membership information, processing and reporting undeliverable correspondence, and assisting on general data and demographic clean up in CRM

    Generate and analyze results and statistics of e-mail campaigns, including monthly member communications, member exit surveys and onboarding communications.

    Assist with department duties and new staff training.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Required Education and Experience
    6+years membership experience and/or experience in association membership services, including membership recruitment, marketing, database and reporting experience

    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

    Proficiency with eCommerce systems and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems/

    Experience with advanced database queries

    Proficiency working with Microsoft products and a willingness to adapt to new technology

    Preferred Education and Experience
    Managing conference exhibition strategies for recruiting new members

    Competencies
    Demonstrated ability to prioritize and to complete a high volume of work and meet deadlines with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and exhibit/in person promotions

    Ability to foster and build relationships within all levels of the organization

    Excellent collaboration, customer service, and communication skills

    Superb analytical skills and ability to think things through, anticipate solutions and next steps

    Ability to lead effectively requiring high levels of collaboration, sound judgment and operational and administrative management abilities

    Technically savvy and ability to use technology to grow business objectives, and a willingness to adapt to new technology

    Must lift up to 25 lbs
    Must stand for long period of time during exhibits and managing membership areas at Annual Meeting
    Travel
    15-20 days/year - Domestic and International travel required.
