- Support the MSEIT System Safety Government Team by evaluating ESOH risks identified by the government, contractors, or other stakeholders, preparing ESOH documents and providing system safety support for Space Flight Worthiness certification
- Perform safety risk assessments in accordance with MSEIT Program and Space Force guidance documents and prepare safety risk assessments for acceptance or for further mitigation.
- Prepare documents including but not limited to: Programmatic Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Evaluation (PESHE) and Space Debris Assessment Report/End of Life Plan for space vehicles
- Bachelors degree
- 4+ years experience in systems engineering
- 1+ years experience in Systems Safety engineering, to include System Safety Engineering practices, techniques, and procedures and working with System Safety military standards and regulations
- Active Secret (or higher) clearance is required for the position
- BS in technical field, such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science.
- MS degree
- Certifications in Systems Engineering (INCOSE ESEP, CSEP)
- Knowledge and experience in Jira and Confluence
- Experience with MILSATCOM, such as AEHF, EPS, WGS, and FAB-T terminal programs
