    We are currently looking for a Full-time Technician. This position acts as a Medical Assistant and provides technical support to physicians for the purposes of patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment and continuing care. Gathers information about the patient through questioning, observation and the completion of various tests and procedures. Facilitates patient exam and protects the physician's time through maximum preparatory and follow-up care. Responsible for appropriate procedure room preparation and equipment/supplies inventory. Acts as an ambassador for quality care and customer service.     Job Duties May Include:
    • Works closely with our doctors and other technicians in providing care to our patients.
    • Talks with the patients to gather medical history and documents this information in the medical record.
    • Responsible for accurate and appropriate testing to assist the doctor in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment plan for each patient.
    • Charts all procedures/decisions in the patient's medical record.
    • Prepares instruments for minor in-office surgical procedures.
    • Ensures exam rooms are appropriately stocked with supplies.
    • Keeps exam rooms occupied and the patient flow moving.
    Requirements/Skills:
    • Demonstrate a caring attitude and strong customer service skills by interacting in a friendly but professional manner and treating every patient with respect.
    • Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Able to learn to use and maintain ophthalmic equipment for purposes of patient exams.
    • Willing to work as a member of a team and to accept an appropriate share of the workload.
    • 6 months to 1 year experience and Certification at the Assistant level preferred but not required.
