- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and examinations.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and screenings in compliance with state regulations.
- Collaborate closely with gynecologists to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
- Assist in gynecological surgical procedures, providing pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Educate patients on preventive care measures, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate and updated patient records adhering to regulatory standards in both Virginia and Maryland.
- Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.
- Foster a compassionate and supportive environment for patients and their families.
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Active and unrestricted licensure as a Physician Assistant in both Virginia and Maryland.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Previous experience in gynecology or women's health is advantageous.
- Proficiency in performing gynecological exams and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a team.
