    Concord University is seeking a Manager of Revenue Accounting to lead and oversee the University's revenue operations. This position is responsible for managing the full cycle of student and institutional revenues, ensuring accurate reconciliations, compliance with state and federal regulations, and timely reporting to support audits, budgets, and decision-making. The Manager also supervises staff, streamlines processes, and partners across departments to maintain fiscal accountability and operational efficiency.
    This leadership role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex reconciliations and reporting requirements. The Manager of Revenue Accounting serves as a trusted partner in supporting the University, ensuring fiscal accountability and upholding compliance with state and federal regulations.
    Duties and Responsibilities
    Duty/Responsibility
    • Manage the full cycle of student and institutional revenue, including federal drawdowns, grants, third-party receivables, ACH deposits, billbacks, and miscellaneous billings.
    • Process invoices, payments, and deposits; reconcile clearing accounts, outside bank accounts, and Banner/Oasis systems monthly.
    • Prepare and enter journal entries, combined dailies, and reconciliations to support audits and financial reporting.
    • Provide accurate revenue data for budgets, cash flow projections, tuition and fee proposals, and regulatory reports (SEFA, FISAP, NCAA).
    • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and audit requirements; design and implement internal controls and policies.
    • Supervise the Manager of Student Accounts and assist the Student Accounts office during peak periods.
    • Collaborate with Financial Aid, Procurement, IT, and other departments to ensure accurate fee assessments, grant support, and compliance with PCI standards.
    • Prepare and distribute IRS Form 1098-T tuition statements; monitor unclaimed property and return stale-dated refunds per Department of Education policy.
    • Review contracts annually, reconcile Follett invoices and commissions, and coordinate billbacks from the Foundation.
    • Utilize technology to streamline and automate office processes; maintain updated student accounts website.
    • Serve on University committees, attend orientations, and participate in ad hoc groups as needed.
    • Perform other duties as assigned to support the University's financial operations.

    Bachelor's
    Required Licenses/Certification
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; Master's degree or CPA certification preferred.

    • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; ability to prepare accurate financial reports and projections.

    • Proficiency with Banner, Oasis, and related financial/accounting systems; experience with Quicken and remote deposit systems
