- Lead the mechanical architecture and definition of new products and own all phases of the mechanical design process from concept to production ensuring that the product meets performance and manufacturability goals and reliability qualifications requirements.
- Design mechanical components which include sheet metal, custom machining, die casting, injection molding and rapid prototyping.
- Develop thermal and mechanical models to solve challenging thermal issues.
- Work within a multi-discipline project team to create new products and ensuring new designs meet both the Internal and Customer Requirements.
- Work with Electrical design engineers on PC board layout and shielding.
- Work with our internal and external manufacturing partners to prototype designs and bring them to manufacturing.
- BS, MS, PhD in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with the ability to employ both a hands-on and analytic approach to problem solving.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced and demanding product development environment and balance engineering decisions with schedule, material cost, and manufacturability.
- A broad understanding of various mechanical fabrication processes (machining, die casting, plastic molding, sheet metal) and engineering materials.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in product design is preferred.
- Experience with Mechanical design tools (3D CAD, Thermal Analysis); experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter a plus, as well as experience with ANSYS structural and thermal and Six Sigma
- Excellent written and verbal skills to be able to work across multiple functions and drive development.

As an R&D Mechanical Engineer you will be part of Keysight Labs mm-Wave subsystems design group. Our group designs leading mm-wave front-end products that address a variety of market applications (5G, 6G, Automotive Radar, Aero/Defense) partnering with our Centers of Excellence and Industry Solutions Groups.
