    IQEQ works with managers in multiple capacities ranging from hedge fund, private equity fund, and mutual fund launches; private equity fund administration; advisory firm set-up, regulatory registration and infrastructure design; ongoing regulatory compliance (SEC, CFTC, and 40 Act); financial controls and operational support services; compliance and operational related projects and reviews; and outsourced CFO/controller and administration services to private equity fund investments portfolio companies, real estate assets and energy assets.

    Job DescriptionLead client execution and engagements and serve as main point of contactLiaise with the clients external auditors, administrator, HR/payroll, and other service providersCommunicate directly with clients and deliver outsourced CFO and related services to Hedge Funds and Private Equity FundsEvaluate current financial and accounting processes for new clients, propose improvements and coordinate implementation efforts with senior managementCollaborate with team members in various offices and provide ongoing operational support to multiple clientsApprove invoices, payments for/to clients and coordinate collection of cash and allocation, as applicableReview and/or create financial models, budget to actuals, provide ad-hoc financial analysis and participate in ad-hoc projectsManage and approve NAVs, allocations, investor statements and reconciliationsReview and approve expense & accrual schedules, management fee calculations and incentive allocationsDevelop, mentor, and oversee junior team members across various offices and review their deliverablesFund and management company financial statement preparation and/or reviewResearch and advise on accounting principlesIdentify complex accounting issues and advise team and clientsAssist in evaluating current financial and accounting process for new clients, propose improvements and help coordinate implementation effortsReview of service providers contracts and funds formation documentsParticipate in weekly, monthly, or as needed conference calls internally and with clientsQualificationsSuccessful candidates will have many, if not all, of the attributes below:10+ years of experience in alternative Investment Management industry (Hedge Fund, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Real Estate)In depth understanding of investment management and alternative productsBachelor's Degree in AccountingCPA PreferredExcellent management, organizational, interpersonal and communication skillsAttention to detail and ability to multi-taskPassionate about working in a dynamic entrepreneurial environmentHard-working, self-starter, dedicated, punctual and personableStrong accounting and analytical skillsAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to solve problems quickly and competentlyPublic Accounting background is a plusAdministration experience is a plusWell versed in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with QuickBooks, OpenAir, , Expensify are a plusAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
