Job summary
The Estimator will be responsible for bidding & estimating efforts drawing and specification reviews soliciting and negotiating subcontractors / suppliers pricing performing quantity take-offs pricing/scoping/bidding construction projects creating / completing bid / estimate packages in the trade(s) as assigned by the Lead Estimator.Responsibilities include estimating support for projects reviewing public notices to identify bid opportunities for pursuit forwards to Lead Estimator for evaluation and assignment thoroughly reviewing all bidding documents requirements understands risk elements addresses such for evaluation prepares maintains bid plans documents reproductions document control. Additionally performs detailed annotated quantity take-offs builds complete detailed estimates within HCSS HeavyBid Software System communicates with architects consultants clarify scopes of work materials schedule requirements properly documents clarifications reviews contracts front-end documents scope schedule price terms ensure bids compliant encompassing. The estimator also prepares qualifications assumptions exclusions align contractual project participates internal team Operations PM Lead Estimator maintains ongoing dialogue awarding-body pending award prepares budgets awarded projects supports PM team setting-up Chart Accounts Oracle leads project hand-off meetings field management team provides input Site Specific Safety Plans Critical Work Plans organizes archives all bid information future reference attends participates design preconstruction coordination meetings communicates supports operations during execution supporting buyout Exhibit review/creation history approach change order pricing appropriate attends participates bi-weekly Sales Meeting. Furthermore actively solicits evaluates supports good communication vendors sub-subcontractors directs coordinates provides information documents vendors sub-subcontractors prepares contractual exhibits packages sub-subcontract work scopes builds maintains relationships vendors owners subcontractors sub-subcontractors competitive advantage Castle builds maintains relationships McCarthy clients attends industry events represents Castle professional capacity keeps current latest technologies techniques including HeavyBid AgTek.
