Applications are now being accepted for the position of Learning Disabilities Specialist, Disability Support Programs and Services (DSPS ) at the District Administrative Offices, CalWORKs restricted contract.
*While the current adjunct position is at the District Office, applicants should understand that they are subject to assignment at any District facility at the option of the Chancellor.Major Responsibilities Under the direction of the Director, DSPS , the adjunct will be responsible for the provision of assessment for CalWORKs clients with possible learning disabilities
The assignment includes:
providing assessment for learning disabilities using the California Community College Eligibility Model; evaluating clients academic strengths and weaknesses; discussing test interpretation and recommended accommodations with clients; consulting with CalWORKs personnel regarding implementation of accommodations and strategies for potential work; maintaining related records for completed assessment and services provided to clients; representing DSPS
at meetings and District functions as needed; and, other duties as assigned.
