    Job Title: Conference and Special Programs Intern at Trinity University



    Description

    : The Conference and Special Programs Intern role involves providing support with logistics, registration, and administration for Trinity University Summer Conferences and Special Programs. As an intern, you will build relationships with various university departments and entities on campus and serve as an ambassador to guests attending these events.

    This position entails coordinating food service, catering requests, facility reservations, and resource allocation under the guidance of the Senior and Associate Director. By engaging in Collegiate Conference and event planning, you will gain valuable insights applicable to Hospitality settings, enhance collaboration skills across campus sectors, and leverage technology for event management.

    JOB DUTIES
    - Develop and maintain logistical systems for summer conference operations
    - Provide general support for office operations and communicate client needs with resource providers
    - Assist in external event venue rentals from start to finish, ensuring client requirements are met

    ADDITIONAL DUTIES
    - Collaborate with team members, uphold Trinity University policies, and perform assigned tasks

    EDUCATION
    Required:
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

    EXPERIENCE
    Preferred:
    Prior customer-facing job experience
    Degree in related field: Hospitality, Hotel, and/or Event Management

    Excellent written and oral communication skills
    Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
    Required:
    Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office, especially Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with office procedures, customer service, effective communication, problem-solving, and meeting deadlines.
    Preferred:
    Understanding of student development theory, commitment to diversity and community issues, awareness of higher education trends, strong written and verbal communication skills, multitasking abilities, and poise under pressure

    Current Criminal Background Check (CBC) for all positions
