- Perform Weekly MPCA Inspections
- Monthly Area Audits
- Data entry into ETQ database including a variety of data such as daily safety observations, near misses, and incidents.
- Assign safety tasks and follow through
- Development of lock out/tag out work instructions and auditing of procedures?
- Job safety analysis documentation
- Participation in root cause investigations for incidents
- Create Ergonomic assessment program for production areas & drive assessments to reduce risks
- Chemical Inventory analysis and updating
- LOTO Program & Procedure Auditing
- Improve Recycling programs
- Gain the trust and respect of the Chaska leadership
- Demonstrate understanding of core EHS policies, procedures, and practices

By the end of the Fall session, the Co-op will have gained the experience and confidence to enter the professional world as an EHS Specialist, understanding and able to carry out industry-best health & safety responsibilities and a basis understanding of environmental regulations for running an industrial site.
