    Job Description:

    The Community Health Alliance Medical Director provides support to the Chief Medical Officer, Chief Clinical Officer, and staff team to ensure success of clinical efforts to support primary care practices and other quality improvement initiatives.

    The Medical Director provides leadership, input, advice and support to a range of clinical, operational, and health-related policy issues required to meet the organizational mission and program objectives.

    As a member of the management team, the Medical Director works closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Clinical Officer, and Chief Medical Officer to support programs and brings creative problem-solving and management skills needed to assist with supporting the strategic direction for a fast-paced, high-growth, mission-driven organization.

    Professional Experience/Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
    Board-certified Physician or Advanced Practice clinician (e.g. Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
    Possess and maintain an active unrestricted medical license in the State of Nevada

    Minimum three years of clinical experience with proven leadership skills in an inpatient or outpatient facility is preferred; experience treating or managing care for a culturally diverse population desired.

    Ability to lead complex health improvement initiatives
    Knowledge of primary care practice policies, Patient Centered Medical Home principles, use of electronic health records, and quality improvement methodologies
    Ability to work both independently and to collaborate with teams of individuals in diverse settings with solution-oriented approach
    Ability to lead teams to reach complex, multi-faceted organizational goals, and to problem solve to ensure mutual collaboration and respect among team members
    Ability to work within rapidly changing environment and programs
    Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, including ability to build and grow networks of relationships with Nevada health care providers
