    Examples of Duties

    • Reports to Assistant Director, Lifelong Learning Grant Program
    • Determines grant eligibility for prospective participants; administers pre-requisite testing to participants
    • Serves as the program's liaison for program participants and Atlantic Cape
    • Provides coaching and support for participants' success; works with participants to develop personalized training employment plans (IEP's)
    • Regularly communicates with participants and updates IEP throughout the program
    • Uses technology to facilitate & record participant engagement and coaching
    • Works as the re-employment liaison between participants and employers to match open job opportunities to the participants' plan
    • Conducts and records program follow up for one year
    • Assists in mitigating obstacles during training, job search and reemployment
    • Monitors workforce trends (demand occupations and employer needs within the grant servicing area)
    • Develop and maintain employer relationships
    • Other related duties as assigned.

    Typical Qualifications

    • Associate's degree or 3- 5 years minimum working experience in a mentoring or advising role
    • Bilingual preferred
    • Technology skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of CRM software (Salesforce)
    • Additional technology skills to include synchronous communications (examples: GoToMeeting, Skype, and Zoom)
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
    • Excellent customer service skills; ability to communicate in written and oral form
    • Ability to work day, evening or weekend hours as required
    • Must be available to travel within the grant service area: Atlantic, Cape May, Burlington, Camden, Cumberland, Gloucester, and Salem Counties.

    Supplemental Information

    This is a grant funded, part-time position requiring up to 26 hours per week. Scheduled to expire on or before June 30, 2025.

    Terms of Employment

    This position may require flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and duties at any Atlantic Cape location.

    Paid sick leave in accordance with NJ Sick Leave Law

    Defined Contribution Retirement Program (DCRP) )

    Eligible part-time employees will be enrolled into the DCRP (Defined Contribution Retirement Plan) pension ) . Employees contribute 5% of their base salary and the college contributes 3% of base salary. Investment options are managed through Prudential Retirement. Life insurance benefits through DCRP are payable to the beneficiary at 1.5X the member's salary.
