    Description

    The supervisor will oversee and manage daily operations at our warehouse/plant location in the Houston area. The ideal candidate should have experience organizing work groups, coaching employees, monitoring progress, enforcing rules, and ensuring quality compliance. The Supervisor will follow through operational tasks and goals, big and small, with a sense of urgency and attention to detail.

    What to expect:

    You will lead a team of dedicated warehouse associates. As a supervisor you will get to make daily operational decisions and have exposure to all levels of management.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Ensure, enhance, and enforce employee safety.
    • Manage a team of up to 14 warehouse associates.
    • Foster and develop a strong team of loading personnel through selective recruitment, thorough and consistent on-boarding process, training, and coaching.
    • Meet mainly outbound operational goals (truck departure/On Time Delivery), track, and report KPIs.
    • Ensure successful end of shift: completed prioritized work, completed loading process, clean work areas and pass down communication.
    • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
    • Perform insightful and detailed employee performance reviews.
    • Escalate issues inhibiting the team from obtaining goals and business objectives.
    • Request and track warehouse supplies.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with peers, internal and external partners, and vendors.

    Qualifications

    • Bilingual communication.
    • Minimum of 3 years in a Supervisor/Management role.
    • Ability to teach and coach others on best practices.
    • Proven ability to lead others through influence and direct authority.
    • Experience working with computers and systems.
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office is needed.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
    • Ability to maintain trustworthy business relationships and be a peacemaker in conflicts.
    • Ability to negotiate effectively and reach agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
