Position Summary: Cultivate relationships with referring female fertility practices to facilitate both referrals and ongoing collaborative care of established patients. Performs daily assessment of aforementioned patient needs via telephone and acts accordingly through appropriate communication with various personnel.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Development of relationships with referring female fertility providers and their respective office staff. This will necessitate travel to referring providers' offices and coordination of care outside of typical business hours.
• Exhibit excellent customer service internally and with patients and other external contacts.
• Communicate patients' needs and/or problems to physician and resolve accordingly.
• Contact pharmacy for prescription refills or newly ordered medications.
• Coordinate appointments for patients by prioritizing needs.
• Counsel and educate patients regarding all issues and/or problems, i.e., medications, procedures, treatments, etc.
• Educate patients pre-operatively regarding medications and surgery
• Perform Shockwave procedure per guidelines
• Obtain laboratory results and reports same to physicians and patients.
• Perform drain removals and therapeutic phlebotomy per procedural guidelines
• Document all conversations and actions in patient's medical record and any supporting logbook.
• Complete all requests for disability information.
• Schedules appointments for follow-ups and established patients.
• Contact IPP patients and informed them of insurance approvals and next steps.
• Contact Vas Reversal patients and complete questionnaire.
• Provide cross-coverage with existing Men's Health triage staff as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Graduate of accredited nursing program preferred 1-2 years triage experience required, 1-2 years' experience in urology preferred

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.
