- Assess patients presenting to the emergency room, triage patients based on acuity, and prioritize care accordingly.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Perform diagnostic tests and procedures, including but not limited to EKGs, wound care, and IV placement.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Valid RN license in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience working as an ER RN.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Available to travel and work 12 hour night shifts.
