    Description


    We're hiring an equipment operator/foreman to support the Superintendent(s) and all other field managers by operating and maintaining various equipment and by using hand tools to facilitate grading, drainage operations and all other facets of earthwork operations in addition to loading/staging of various materials on site.

    WHAT YOU'LL DOOperate an All-Terrain Forklift, Excavator, skid steer, backhoe, vibratory compactor, plate compactor and other equipment as necessary to support your direct report and other superintendent(s)Perform routine maintenance on all site equipment which includes all equipment above and in addition all excavation equipmentInspect all equipment and document prior to each use.

    Use hand tools i.e. shovel, rake, pick, etc.

    as necessary to complete the scopeUse laser levels and site levels to complete grading and earthwork operations as necessaryAssist the line crew in digging ditches and trenches, hoisting material, tools, equipment and any related work with various trucksListen and follow directions carefullyWork at a high level of accuracy and efficiency; coordinate to ensure all tasks are completed on timeParticipate in quality control and be accountable for all work and resultsStrive to continually learn and develop new skills and capabilitiesAlways comply with safety regulations and requirements Maintain a safe, clean and organized job site:

    pick up all tools and equipment, and secure job site each dayDemonstrate discretion and treat all proprietary company information as strictly confidential outside (and in some cases inside) the companyComplete any additional tasks required by the superintendent(s) WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEEDAbility to comprehend layout of baselines and machinery positionsComprehension of weights of equipment and rigging toolsSkilled at operating various aforementioned equipment and willing to acquire any required certifications Skilled at operating devices to establish and set grades, elevations, etc.

    Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, with a wide variety of peopleBe a team player and foster a positive and constructive attitude environment onsiteExhibit good manners, respect for the team, subcontractors and clientsConsistently work toward a high level of accuracy and efficiencyContinually learn and develop new skills and capabilitiesAdvocate for safety in action and attitude; reinforce awareness to reduce risk of injury to self and othersPossess technical and working knowledge of building methods and construction practicePossess basic knowledge of safety and health procedures (ongoing safety training provided)Ability to manage stress and maintain composure in challenging situationsDemonstrate accountabilityMust work in a collaborative way with all team members.

    Must be able to work while wearing personal protective equipmentMust be able to read and understand safety instructions, signs, labels and permitsMust have reliable transportation to get to and from work safely and on timeMust complete or already have acquired the appropriate safety training commensurate with the position and locationValid driver's license, occasional driving of a company vehicle may be required for this positionCrane Operator Certification is a plus but not requiredCDL license is a plus but not requiredUS Work AuthorizationWHAT WE OFFERWe are a fun, easygoing bunch of professionals who take a lot of pride in the work we do.
