    FLEET SUPERVISOR/DIESEL MECHANIC

    Reports to: Owners

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Manage the operation and maintenance of Arsenal Scaffold Inc. vehicles, forklifts, and field/warehouse tools. Will oversee vehicle DOT, registration and insurance compliance. Conduct required monthly safety discussions with all drivers. Develop report to review with ownership and present resolutions to increase driver safety and productivity.

    ESSENTIAL TASKS

    Operation and Maintenance of vehicles, forklifts, tools.

    • Check all fluids of vehicles/lifts on weekly basis. Change as needed oil/greasing.
    • Point of contact with mechanics/repair shops/towing.
    • Execute purchases needed for trucks, lifts, tools.
    • Point of contact for vehicle emergencies/mechanical issues. 24/7.

    Driver Safety/Protocol Program Essential Elements

    • Daily inspection of required equipment
    • Morning vehicle inspection and inspection of load/straps. Return inspection of vehicle
    • Driver protocol when arriving at the jobsite and leaving jobsite.
    • Driver knowledge of fleet specs, GVW, allowable load capacities. Reading gauges.
    • Safe load securement. Use of straps. Condition of straps.
    • Predetermined fueling stations. Gas card use.
    • Reporting accidents, vehicle damage, tickets, field issues.
    • Logbook training. Daily required completion. Enforcement of non-completion.
    • Conduct driver annual reviews

    Tool Inventory and Maintenance Program

    • Ascertain current inventory and condition of all tools at warehouse and in the field
    • Inspect and make necessary repairs of tools before they are dispatched in the field.
    • Point of contact with repair shop.
    • Monitor tool location after dispatch.
    • Develop a tool check in/check out list. Chain of responsibility.

    Vehicle Compliance

    • All vehicles to maintain DOT, NYS Registration, NYS Insurance current documents on board.
    • Work with Arsenal administration to facilitate all necessary vehicle documents.
    • Maintain all required equipment needed to pass DOT truck inspection station.

    Requirements

    • High School diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.
    • Bi-lingual English / Spanish a must.
    • Prior experience in Fleet Supervision/Diesel mechanic.
    • Must possess a valid state driver license.
    • CDL a bonus.

    Salary Grade

    • Salary range $50,000- $100,000.00 Commensurate with experience
