    Are you an experienced oncologist seeking a flexible and impactful opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated Locum Physician in Oncology to provide exceptional care at a leading Free-Standing Cancer Center.     Overview:
    This locum position at Bon Secours - St. Francis Downtown involves providing outpatient and inpatient oncology services within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team. You will support adult and geriatric patients with both benign hematology and malignant oncology cases, working in a state-of-the-art facility. The role provides a balanced schedule without call responsibilities during the locum period, making it an excellent opportunity for work-life balance while contributing to a center committed to excellence in cancer care.
    Required Skills:
    • Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid medical license in South Carolina or eligible for licensure
    • Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and Oncology
    • Proven experience in medical oncology, including outpatient and inpatient settings
    • Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably EPIC
    • Strong clinical judgment with the ability to manage complex cases
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    • Ability to participate in Tumor Board discussions
    Nice to Have Skills:
    • Experience managing Bone Marrow Transplants
    • Knowledge of Blood Bank procedures
    • Prior involvement with Chemotherapy administration and management
    • Familiarity with multi-disciplinary oncology care teams
    Preferred Education and Experience:
    • Medical degree from an accredited institution
    • Board-certified or Board-eligible in Hematology and Oncology
    • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in oncology
    • Prior locum or hospital-based experience highly desirable
    Other Requirements:
    • Willingness to participate in Tumor Boards and multidisciplinary meetings
    • Credentialing expected within 60 days
    • Availability to start from February 2, 2026
    • Must hold or be eligible for applicable certifications; travel and lodging expenses reimbursed
    • Hourly pay rate at $19.50; benefits include weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical coverage, paid sick time, and reimbursement for licensure, certification, travel, and related expenses
