- Use M.O.S.T. to develop balanced processes across manufacturing areas.
- Manage logistics plan for dept.'s part delivery & packaging
- Regularly lead meetings with other Honda functional groups to develop and launch improvement themes (Quality, Safety, Delivery, Production, Purchasing, NM, Packaging, or Logistics).
- Perform time estimates for weld process, equipment loads, and develop Operation Standards.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste within weld operations and improve efficiency. Apply 5S work methods, workstation design, and set best practices for production.
- Evaluate and implement ergonomic countermeasures to prevent associate injury.
- Support New Model Events. Forecast design impact to department. Incorporate change points into process design. Identify concerns and countermeasure before mass production.
- Develop Plans and Schedules for projects. Set timelines and detailed activities. Hold meetings with cross functional engineering groups to ensure completeness.
- Project support for all items impacting Weld department's Associate Process.
- Collect feedback from the production floor and address their concerns
- Occasional split/ second shift support required
- 0-5 hours OT weekly

You will use analytic tools and traditional industrial engineering methods to optimize Weld production functions and new model launches.
