    POSITION SUMMARY
    The

    Senior Project Manager

    role is a critical part of Greenpeace USA's campaign strategy, protecting the right to protest overall. The

    Senior Project Manager


    will be at the helm of implementing the campaign strategy across various work streams and will be responsible for crafting a comprehensive project roadmap for a public-facing campaign, outlining critical milestones and dates.

    This role will work in close collaboration with the National Campaigns Director, across departments and with consultants to execute campaign strategies and content, and to raise the visibility of the campaign.

    role is a full-time, exempt, benefits-eligible, hybrid position and is located in any of our approved Greenpeace locations (CA, NY Metro area and DC Metro area).

    This position will report to the National Campaigns Director. Please note this role may require limited travel and occasional work outside of normal business hours.

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    Strategy:
    Executes campaign strategy across various workstreams, ensuring seamless integration and alignment of efforts to achieve overarching campaign goals
    Develops a comprehensive project roadmap for the public-facing Democracy-related campaigns, outlining key milestones and deadlines to guide the team towards successful execution
    Facilitates gathering of input from key stakeholders, including the Chief Program Officer, National Campaigns Director, Greenpeace International, and other relevant parties, to inform strategic decision-making and ensure alignment with campaign objectives
    Establishes alignment between digital engagement strategies and overall campaign objectives, ensuring cohesive messaging and effective online presence


    Collaboration and Communication:
    Guides and supervises the Project Team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and excellence in execution
    Collaborates with strategic allies to leverage resources, amplify messaging, and maximize impact in advancing campaign objectives
    Enhances team structures, communication channels, and meeting protocols to promote clarity, efficiency, and collaboration within the project team
    Engages in managing upwards by effectively communicating project progress, addressing concerns, and soliciting guidance from higher-level stakeholders, while also adeptly facilitating meetings to foster productive collaboration and decision-making


    Leadership and Decision-Making:
    Facilitates expedited decision-making processes and effective prioritization techniques to maintain momentum and drive progress within the project

    Oversees budget allocation, financial tracking and contract management, including negotiations and oversight of agreements with external vendors and contracted staff members.

    Identify and mitigate project risks, develop contingency plans, and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution

    KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
    Required
    Minimum 10 years experience in project management
    Deep understanding of project management methodologies and tools, and the ability to apply them effectively

    Preferred
    Professional certification such as PMP, Scrum Master, Project Management Certificates
    Experience in developing platforms for internal processes
    Experience in coaching project team members to strengthen their abilities and skill sets

    REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES/ABILITIES
    Must have working knowledge of campaigns and/or organizing within the US progressive movement
    Proven success working with all levels of management, and managing up and across
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Excellent presentation skills
    Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
    Ability to work quickly in ever- changing environment
    Adaptable with the ability to pivot quickly based on new information
    Effective communication with the capacity to create clear and consistent communication, and cascade that communication to staff and stakeholders, as needed
    Organized and detail-oriented
    Ability to build and maintain relationships with allies, internal and external stakeholders
    Strategic, critical thinking skills
    Solution-oriented mindset and approach to problem solving
    Willingness to travel, as need (estimated less than 10%)
    Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, as needed

    A salary within the range of

    $114,240 - $131,376


    is anticipated to be provided to the successful candidate having met the minimum requirements for the position consistent with reflecting our commitment to maintaining competitive and fair compensation practices.
