    Position Summary

    Collects and processes blood specimens for testing in the laboratory.

    Reports to: Director of Laboratory

    Responsibilities of the Position

    Labels, processes, and delivers specimens for testing.

    Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.

    Maintains equipment and medical supplies.

    Assists with coordinating and conducting blood drives, including interviewing and screening donors.

    Other tasks and duties as assigned.


    Minimum Education

    High school diploma or equivalent is required.

    Completion of a Phlebotomy program is required.

    Certifications/Licenses

    Phlebotomy certification is required upon hire.

    Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required through the American Heart Association (AHA) within 30 days of hire.

    Required Skills

    Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
