    Poke Fin is the shared vision of two experienced restaurateurs. Through a whole lot of blood, sweat, and tears Poke Fin became a reality in March of 2020. It has been a wonderful two years with the company, with a second location underway.

    This goal is enabled through our internal operating system. In short, this system will inform, educate, and prepare you to become a knowledgeable, confident, and capable Poke Professional.

    Poke Fin is happy to boast about the positive work environment that our team operates in. The recipes and kitchen techniques have been curated by professional chefs. The artwork found in and outside of the store is all done by local artists. The time and care that has been taken in creating Poke Fin has resulted in great success.     With that being said, here is a synopsis of the position requirements & responsibilities.

    Requirements:
    • Customer Facing Experience (6 Months - 1 Year).
    • Food Service Experience (6 Months - 1 Year).
    • Food Handlers Card (Can be given to you through Poke Fin free of charge, if you don't already have it).
    • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
    • Reliable transportation.
    • Available to work a variety of hours, weekends and nights included.
    • You must be at least 18 years old.

    Responsibilities:
    • Interact and educate guests about Poke Fin products.
    • Communicate proficiently with Poke Fin staff.
    • Maintain organizational standards. (Cleanliness, Organizational, Service)
    • Process cash and card transactions on a POS terminal.
    • Adhere to the Poke Fin handbook and safety guidelines.
    • Preserving the good image of Poke Fin.

    This job, Team Member, is an entry-level position at Poke Fin. In this role, you can expect to create anywhere from 20-50 poke bowls on any given day. In addition to making poke bowls, you will also maintain the cleanliness of the lobby, line, and kitchen.

    Poke Fin's operating system consists of various checklists and production sheets that outline what is expected of you every day. We have found great success through this mutual understanding of what needs to be completed on a daily basis.

    All you need to succeed in this role is a good attitude, a bit of charisma, and the bravery to make mistakes and try again.

    And most importantly, the pay.

    Poke Fin evaluates all members of the team on a routine basis. This is to track progress and improvement over time. This creates an opportunity for you to quickly climb the ladder of Poke Fin as your hard work will be recognized immediately.

    The base rate for this position is $12/hour, based on experience and technical ability this rate is negotiable. In addition to the base rate, all Poke Fin team members receive cash tips on a daily basis. These cash tips can range from an extra $4/hour to $15/hour. On average a Poke Fin team member will have an adjusted rate of $15/hour after the cash tips have been accounted for.

    About PokeFin:

    Pokè Bowl
    Pronunciation: (/ˈpoʊke bōl/)
    A deconstructed sushi roll in a bowl.
    Fully customizable from start to finish.
    Typically served on a bed of rice or mixed greens.
    Prepared with fresh proteins, such as but not limited to: Tuna, Salmon, Shrimp, Chicken, Tofu
    Garnished with supreme sauces
    Finished with an extensive variety of premium toppings

    PokèFin grew from the desire to offer a healthy and delicious alternative to the QSR (quick service restaurant) revolution. With the facts proving that 40% of the population in the United States are overweight or on the verge of being overweight, we plan to be a part of the solution - not a propagator of this problem.
    In 2019, Ron Abeles & Drew Mejia met through a stroke of luck and found they shared a mutual desire to create an affordable five-star dining experience in a QSR setting. Since 2019, Ron and Drew have been working feverishly to perfect the delivery of their pokè bowls. Through the years of experience the dynamic duo has obtained, they have come to realize that the perfect pokè bowl is crafted with genuine care, served with infectious enthusiasm, and enjoyed in a cool Hawaiian-esque hangout.
    The many years of entrepreneurial experience that Mr. Abeles has accumulated throughout his career has enabled him to develop captivating spaces for all of his businesses. This fact is proven true when you enter a PokèFin store and begin to observe the incredible attention to detail that Mr. Abeles has displayed in his desire for the design of PokèFin to be as similar to a Hawaiian luau experience as possible, tiki hut included
    While ambience is important, nothing is more important than the food and this is where Mr. Mejia comes in. Drew has taken the Hawaiian born delicacy of pokè bowls and fused the fundamental ingredients with various cuisines from across the world.

    Mr. Mejia has developed and maintained an understanding of the principles necessary to consistently create delicious pokè bowls. It is imperative to Drew that all members of the PokèFin team are able to create a bowl that functions the same in flavor and presentation as his PokèFin Standards demand. This effort is achieved through Mr. Mejia sharing his extensive knowledge of pokè with staff and guests alike. This educational effort from Drew is designed with the intention of setting a standard in the pokè space, like none other. Mr. Mejia's commitment to utilizing only the freshest ingredients, procured from the highest quality suppliers, and handled by the most capable pokè artists, is the reason why PokèFin continues to receive daily five-star reviews. Their pokè bowls have been compared to the same bowls enjoyed by natives of Hawaii. This is a great honor of a compliment for the two restaurateurs.
