    Job Summary:
    We are seeking skilled and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team on a temporary basis. As a Temp RN in CVICU, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients with critical cardiac conditions, including those recovering from cardiac surgery, heart failure, and myocardial infarction. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in critical care nursing, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assess and monitor the condition of critically ill patients with complex cardiovascular disorders, including hemodynamic instability, arrhythmias, and postoperative complications.
    • Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians, following established protocols and guidelines.
    • Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures, such as arterial blood gas analysis, cardiac monitoring, and echocardiography.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
    • Provide advanced nursing interventions, such as mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) therapy, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), as needed.
    • Respond promptly to changes in patient status, initiating appropriate interventions and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
    • Document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Educate patients and their families about cardiovascular health, treatment options, and post-discharge care plans.
    • Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and organizational policies to ensure patient and staff safety.

    Qualifications:

    • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
    • Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, with experience in critical care nursing and cardiovascular nursing preferred.
    • Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
    • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment and prioritize patient care needs.
    • Commitment to providing compassionate and evidence-based care to critically ill patients with cardiovascular disorders.
