    Job DescriptionOverview/Purpose:
    Oversees the functions of the production line to maximize and maintain optimum efficiency.

    Operates sophisticated/complex types of electrical/motor driven machinery and is responsible to synchronize the various machinery components of the production line.

    Monitors incoming raw materials and packaging components to produce finish goods that meet food safety standards set forth. Communicates with line workers, QA and maintenance personnel to create a pleasant environment and promote good morale.

    Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, food safety and quality, cost and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


    Conduct and record results for pre-start safety and sanitation inspections, pre-post operation form, HACCP forms if applicable, Communicate with quality control's line inspector to meet relevant standards of the quality control department.

    Ensure raw ingredients are available and staged for the production run. Notify Production Supervisor/ Manger of any inaccuracies or deficiencies.
    Consistently monitor key centerline setpoints for various pieces of equipment throughout processing. Investigate reasons of being out of ranges and work to resolve any issues identified.

    Slice Thickness AuditsFryer Setpoint CenterlinesMaintain clean work areas, including disposal of trash and cardboard at the end of the shift.

    Feed buckets shall be emptied into designated containers dailyAll equipment/area shall be cleaned according to MCS and frequency. This includes executing changeovers based on the site's changeover matrix.

    Support Fryer Boil out efforts if sanitation is not available (will be trained on chemical usage)Communicate with Production Supervisor to determine planning department's production run on appropriate production line, preventive maintenance schedule, and MCS.


    Train employees:
    how to perform their job faster and more reliably and encourage employees with good ideas. Provide feedback to employees concerning mistakes made and ways to improve during the process, maintaining positive employee morale.
    Continuous evaluations of process to improve efficiencies and cut cost.

    Utilize Maintenance Work Request System to resolve equipment issues that are identifiedEffectively execute shift handoff meetings where you provide detailed information for shift performance and issues that occurred.

    Complete end of shift report with all needed information and send out to appropriate members of the leadership team.
    Ensure company policies are carried out in production in a safe working environment.

    Has broad discretionary authority to ensure line is functioning safely and properly and to shut down the machinery when conditions warrant.

    Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action.

    Follow all Food Safety guidelines, such as, but not limited to:

    Work Environment:

    The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, low levels of toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electric shock and explosives.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, some instances of this job may require work in areas where ear protection if necessary.


    Compensation and Benefits:
    New starting wage is $23.50 per hour (commensurate with experience and location). *Note that rate could change based on shift schedule.
