The Sr.

Product Developer aims to inspire a team to embody the brand philosophy of innovation and technical responsibility in every product made.

You will be responsible for development of a collection of products and for guiding, mentoring, and training a team of passionate Product Developers.

You will work closely with the Merchandising, Fit and Spec, and Production teams to align the department and to bring products to life.

Objectives & Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing and bringing a product collection/s to life through detail oriented, innovative product development.
Plan and track stages of the product life cycle and manage completion of design sketches, tech-packs and BOMs.
Provide and coordinate feedback on design and fit direction while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Have oversight to ensure that all products and design goals are manufacturable and cost effective.
Aid in managing the product calendar, while meeting deadlines for prototyping, samples, and final production.
Ensure that all products meet the highest level of construction quality.
Develop a process for quality assurance and communicate with stakeholders on issues.
Be an expert in the PLM and train others.

Requirements:

7 to 10 years of experience in product development, ideally in outdoor or ski apparel.
Proven record of development success in outerwear or technical garments.
Proven ability to lead and influence in a collaborative, cross-functional group to meet strategic objectives.
Nimble and entrepreneurial in nature, with a genuine excitement for the company mission.
Great leadership and mentorship skills.
Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and PLM software.
Excellent skill level in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Able to present clear and concise information in a verbal and written manner to Design team, factory partners and key stakeholders.
Must understand how to bring value to the customer through construction and innovation.
Must be a team player and have a willingness to grow.
Strong knowledge of apparel and merchandising, materials, and construction and fit techniques.
Lead by example and ability to work at the ground level to generate results.
3D experience is a plus.
A passionate outdoor enthusiast.
